To celebrate Black History Month, Youth Action highlighted 5 Black-founded non-profit organizations in the Philadelphia area. Like Youth Action, these organizations are actively empowering the youth of Philadelphia to be successful leaders in their communities! Institute for the Development of African American Youth, Inc. “We support youth and families first.” IDAAY
For this week’s Student Spotlight, Youth Action featured Lamar Pittman – a 15-year-old student in our Inspiring Leaders Program who currently attends Appoquinimink High School. Lamar told us that he decided to join Youth Action because he wanted to learn how to have great leadership skills and become more mature.
For our second Student Spotlight of the Week, Youth Action highlighted Ahmya Begley – a 9th-grade student at Bonner Prendie High School. Ahmya took her decision to join Youth Action very seriously. She did her research, became fascinated and intrigued by the organization, and decided it would offer her what she
