During this holiday season, Youth Action wants to express how incredibly thankful we are for our supporters. Truist Bank had been generous enough to award us with a grant earlier this fall for $8,000 that will go towards creating a COVID-19 Youth Mobile Sanitation Unit (YMSU).
The purpose of the YMSU is to distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety information to the Greater Philadelphia Area. Truist’s investment in this project will help provide youth with service stipends to engage in a critical, meaningful and constructive civic engagement experience that helps control the virus all while supporting themselves and their families during this time of hardship.
The Truist Foundation is committed to Truist Financial Corporation’s purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities. They support nonprofits to help ensure the communities they serve have more opportunities for a better quality of life. Their grants and activities specifically focus on leadership development, economic mobility, thriving communities and educational equity. It’s companies like Truist that help us extend our mission to build strong, capable, and empowered leaders.
