At Youth Action’s 10th Anniversary Celebration held at the Friends Center on 1501 Cherry Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the evening was set for a time to celebrate an organization that has spent 10 years inspiring students to serve their communities.

The team’s 10th Anniversary was captivated by electrifying member speeches, & photo & video presentations, music, fine dining, and compelling reception conversations.

Team President Gavin Grant & Board Chairman Anthony offered an inspiring speech on the present & future of Youth Action. In addition, recording Artist Cecily sung her hit single “Too Much” and an oldie but goodie “Black Butterfly”. Her performances received rousing round applause from guests in attendance.

Awards were given to Youth Action partners over the past 10 Years including:  Pierce College, AXA Advisors (Peter D’Amico & Andrew Avellan), Tavis Smiley Foundation, Spark the Wave, Republic Bank, Youth Venture, West Philadelphia YMCA, Steppingstone Scholars Inc., Black Wahrton Undergraduate Association (Univ. of Pennsylvania), Media Meltdown Productions (Temple University) Awards were given to Youth Action team leaders including Gabriella Jackson who received the team’s Called to Service Award for her work as a team member with YA over a period of three years. The event would have not at all been possible without key sponsors Republic Bank, AXA Advisors, The Institute for Responsible Citizenship, Professor William Allen, Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Mrs. Maxine Bagley, and Ms. Linda Lewis. Other supporting sponsors included GlaxoSmithKline, Scholar Academies, Elder Larry Raye, and The Honorable Judge Johnny Butler.
