Steppingstone Scholars, Inc. has become Youth Action’s newest partner for it’s Annual Toy Drive. Steppingstone Philadelphia will help YA bring joy to hundreds of children this holiday season by working to solicit toy and book donations of from their office. Youth Action is pleased and excited to welcome a dynamic educational non-profit such as Steppingstone as a partner for this Toy Drive. Steppingstone and Youth Action have similar service missions and that is ensuring students have a chance to reach their professional aspirations and become contributing members to our world.
Steppingstone Inc is dedicated to helping educationally underserved students in the Greater Philadelphia Region achieve academic success. Students with the potential and a community of support are prepared for admission to and success at the best public, non-public and independent college preparatory schools through a program of academics, mentoring and support. Steppingstone Scholars works with partner schools to create opportunities that lead to college.
Youth Action’s 6th Annual Toy Drive Celebration entitled, “Shining Stars” which will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 from 7-9pm at Philadelphia University’s Kanbar Performance Space located on 4201 Henry Avenue Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19144. This year’s toy drive will run throughout the month of November until December 8th which is the day of the celebration. Youth Action’s toy drive celebration is an exciting time for members of Youth Action, its partners, and community members to participate in an incredible experience of giving, love, and festivity. YA is accepting new unwrapped toys for children infant-seventeen years of age. Toys will be given to five area shelters. Families in need this holiday season are strongly encouraged to contact Youth Action for donations and attend this event.
