Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving.
We invite you to support Youth Action and its mission to help Philadelphia high school students become socially responsible leaders.
Through our Inspiring Leaders Program we provide exciting opportunities for high school students to develop key leadership abilities in areas such as oral and written communication, time management, critical thinking, and working with groups. In addition to this, they receive funding to create innovative service projects that will directly impact their communities.
In the past students have organized the following service projects:
- City Wide School and Neighborhood Recycling Competition
- Symposium on Bullying and Self Esteem
- Day of Activities to Raise Awareness about HIV/AIDS
- Cancer Awareness and Support Festival
This year, Youth Action is sponsoring students to organize three service projects in Philadelphia and each project will cost $2,500. Our goal this giving Tuesday is raise $2,500 to support one of those projects.
