About the Service Leaders Program
The Service Leader Program (SLP), consists of alumni of the Junior Youth Action and Inspiring Leaders Program who serve as general body members of Youth Action and use the skills they gained from those programs to consistently organize service projects throughout the year.
SLP provides members not only with volunteer opportunities but also advanced leadership and professional development workshops around socially responsible leadership in college & career.Hear from Our Student Leaders
“Youth Action made me perfectly competent to be a leader anywhere I go. I am comfortable with being an active leader taking control over a project or group, and I am also comfortable being a passive leader without saying a word.”
“Youth Action shaped my way of understanding leadership and service in my community by allowing me to identify myself as a human rights activist. I’m not afraid to fight for what our community needs. From Youth Action, I have become a better orator and a more confident leader.”
“A very important thing I have learned from Youth Action is the importance of perseverance. If you fail at first, keep trying. I apply this in school with subjects I may not understand at first. I persevere by studying and trying to re-apply techniques.”
