Four Youth Action Alums Recently Honored

Youth Action would like to share some wonderful news on four of our young alums. All excellent women who continue to Inspire, Lead, and Serve! Each of these alums credit Youth Action with being critical to their leadership development and interest in serving others.

Soon after Sadiyah Sabree  YA ’12 completes her undergraduate studies at Columbia University in New York this May, she will participate in the Ventures for America (VFA) fellowship. VFA is a competitive fellowship that matches recent college graduates who are aspiring entrepreneurs with startups and corporations in the United States. After working three years as a Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland, Gabriella Jackson YA ‘13, a Drexel University graduate, was recently accepted into the University of Pennsylvania to pursue a graduate degree in the field of nursing.

lexi iversLexi Ivers YA ‘14, a sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C. was recently accepted into Harvard University’s Kennedy School Public Policy and Leadership Conference. The fully funded competitive program introduces students to a graduate school environment focusing on public policy and international affairs, and provides them with fellowship opportunities that may help fund their graduate studies. Lexi is also about to commence a Junior Youth Action program in Washington , D.C.

brittany manningBrittany Manning YA ’13, a Drexel University graduate, was recently accepted into Columbia University’s Master’s program for Occupational Therapy. Brittany has worked as a behavior intervention therapist for the past couple of years and is excited about her move to New York this fall.

Youth Action is incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Go Youth Action alums and continue our mission as socially responsible leaders!
