Youth Action' Its 2nd Annual Toy Drive
Philadelphia, PA Youth Action will host
its 2nd Annual Toy Drive on Wednesday, December 19, 2007
from 6pm-10pm at Platinum Grille Restaurant, n19
Crittenden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19118. This
charitable event is being held to bring the holiday
cheer and the feeling of home to the children who
benefit from the outreach services of Southern Home
Services, a Philadelphia-based program that provides
free food, clothing, furniture and housing assistance to
those in need.
Last year, Youth Action was able to provide holiday
gifts and toys to more than 30 families that reside at
Eliza Shirley House, an emergency shelter facility, and
are committed to providing continuous support to our
communities in need.
Youth Action asks that you support this worthy event by
bringing a new, unwrapped toy. You will also have the
opportunity to speak with Youth Action members to learn
more about its organization, its mission and the
community service that it provides to residents of
Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. This is a FREE
event and refreshments will be served.
Youth Action spokesperson, James Jones stated, "Once
again, our organization has risen to the challenge to
meet the needs of those that are less fortunate this
holiday season in Philadelphia. What makes this holiday
season special is not gifts that we receive, but rather
the ability to come together for a common good. Youth
Action looks forward to hosting its 2nd Annual Toy Drive
and many more. "
