Political Strategy Roundtable- Developing a Real Plan for Millennial Power & Inclusion
A meeting for millennials serious about political engagement and creating a plan to breakthrough “old” politics
Youth Action, Influencing Action Movement and Friends of the Greater Olney Free Library invited all millennials (those born after 1980) to attend Political Strategy Roundtable – Developing a Real Plan for Millennial Power & Inclusion on Tuesday, June 30th, 2015 from 5:30pm-7:15pm at the Free Library of Philadelphia 1901 Vine Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103. The conversation was held with special guest former mayoral candidate Doug Oliver.
This meeting was for all Millennials passionate about engaging their peers in the political process, creating a strong voting block and devising a plan to breakthrough old Philly politics. We wanted to hear about their experiences, challenges and success in attempting to do this.
This was not your typical roundtable discussion. We charged all community leaders and civic organizations present to make a commitment to carry our at least 1 year long initiative that will move us forward. Discussing the issues are important, but let’s back our words with actions.
