Youth Action’s 8th Annual Toy Drive officially came to a close this mid-December. The drive focused to spread joy and happiness to many disadvantaged children who were not fortunate enough to receive gifts for the holiday season.

 

Youth Action is no stranger to hosting toy drives, but this year was special. It was the first time that we had a private event where members of the Youth Action spent time with the kids and their parents. We interacted with everyone by playing various games and activities. The younger children made arts and crafts and were able to participate in a “story time” session. This event was held for children of The Friends Rehabilitation Center.

 

The team spent months collecting toys and books for children of ages infant to 17 years. The families were thrilled with the outcome of the event and with the distribution of gifts.
