Career Strategist Edward Hill Speaks to Youth Action ILP ’16 Cohort

DSC_0050On Saturday, February 13th, Youth Action Inspiring Leaders Program Cohort ’16 members at the University of Pennsylvania to receive some incredible and motivation advice on career development strategies from career development strategist Edward Hill. Edward Hill, is currently a cooperative education counselor at Drexel University, where he provides support to undergraduate students at Drexel on career exploration. Mr. Hill spoke to students in Youth Action’s Inspiring Leaders Program. In addition, workshops, mentorship, and funding for students to organize a service project in their communities, we often invite guest speakers who speak to students on essential life skills, higher education, and career.

Among the highlights of Hill’s speech included three topics: Beginning to develop your Career Passion Now, Networking, and Reading more about your potential career.  Mr. Hill also offered his contact information for students to continue to stay in touch with him. He explained that mentorship is important and he himself is always willing to help.ed hill 3

Hill is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he received a bachelors in Sociology. Mr. Hill later attended Temple University and received a Master’s in Education in Sports and Recreation Administration. During his time as undergraduate and graduate student, Mr. Hill worked as a community relations intern with the Philadelphia Eagles and he also worked with Pennsylvania Mentor as a social worker. Most recently, Mr. Hill has worked as Program Associate at Summer Search Philadelphia where he mentored youth in Philadelphia and a Career Counselor with Peirce College.
